Our lovely Payroll Manager, Jackie French, has decided it is time to switch off her computer and retire.
Jackie has been with us for 15 years and operates the payroll for Kirkpatrick & Hopes, making sure that everyone has been paid on time every month – for which the whole team are ever grateful!
We had a little celebration in the office for her 15 year anniversary last week, and this is a photo of her being presented with flowers by Andrew Gray. Andrew commented that after him, Jackie is currently the longest serving employee at K&H.
Many of you will have come to know Jackie over the years as she has operated many of our clients’ payrolls too.
Jackie is a very well travelled girl, having spent many years accompanying her late husband Digby in his profession as an officer in the Merchant Navy, during which time she travelled extensively visiting Australia, Indonesia, North & South America, Japan, South Africa, Germany, Holland, Poland, Spain and she also travelled through the Panama Canal.
I hear she is currently making plans for her next trip overseas. The world is her oyster and we wish her a long, happy, healthy and fulfilled retirement.
We are of course making a new appointment for a Payroll Manager to replace Jackie and will advise you later of her replacement.
We are having a little luncheon party for Jackie in the office on Tuesday 12 August – her retirement day. If you would like to pop in to say farewell you will be most welcome – please let me know if planning to attend.
